# Renti Rewards

> Renti Rewards is New Zealand's first loyalty and benefits programme for renters. Members earn points on rent and bond payments made by debit or credit card, receive included contents insurance and job loss cover, and can redeem points for cashback, gift cards, or partner rewards. The programme is operated by Renti, based in Grey Lynn, Auckland.

Key facts:

- Renti Rewards is currently available to renters moving into properties managed by property managers who use Renti for viewings and applications. Broader access is planned.
- Members earn 2 Renti Rewards points per $1 on rent and bond payments, and up to 4 points per $1 with partner merchants.
- A 2.49% processing fee applies to rent and bond payments made through the programme. This fee funds rewards, insurance, and member benefits.
- Members can also earn their existing credit card loyalty points (e.g. Air New Zealand Airpoints, Westpac Hotpoints) simultaneously — referred to as "double dipping."
- Points can be redeemed as cashback to card, gift cards from 40+ retailers (including Woolworths, Uber Eats, JB Hi-Fi, Sephora, Airbnb, Ticketmaster), or partner merchant rewards.
- Points expire three years after the date earned. No minimum redemption threshold.
- Any NZ-issued Mastercard or Visa (debit or credit) is accepted.
- Contents insurance ($10,000 cover, underwritten by Zurich and Chubb) activates automatically from the first rent payment.
- Job loss cover provides up to $2,500 if made redundant.
- The Renti app is available on iOS and Android.
